Ro's Bio

Many, many things could be said about the singer-songwriter-producer-musician Rogiérs (pronounced Ro-ghe-ay). Some may recall his 2005 single with the Platinum Pied Pipers & Mark de Clive-Lowe on the worldwide underground hit “50 Ways to leave your lover”. Others know him for his 2008 debut album single “Hollywood Story”, the hot collaboration with Grammy Jazz/Alternative faves Robert Glasper & Bilal or the backing voice for Stax recording artist, N’Dambi. Some recognize Rogiérs as the voice of jazz-fusion group Soul Cycle and a few fans still refer to Rogiérs as Alicia Keys’ “former keyboardist and background singer.”

Whatever comes to mind, since 2002 Rogiérs’s creative portrait has established him as a premier voice within the echelon of independent R&B/Soul/Jazz/Deep House music artists. Eclectic musical icons Questlove (The Roots) & Lo Down Loretta Brown (a.k.a. Erykah Badu) have both playlisted his records in their DJ sets. And of his two independently released albums, two EP’s, various singles and compilations, Rogiérs’s singles have broken commercial R&B-Urban/Pop and specialist radio in the U.S, Europe, Canada, Russia, Australia, Japan and received coverage from Okayplayer, Vibe Magazine, SoulCulture, Rolling Out Magazine and IDJ Magazine among other international publications. He maintains an active schedule performing throughout the country and worldwide for fans, celebrities and music enthusiasts promoting releases. Rogiérs’ newest recordings will cross Alternative R&B, Electronic and Soulful House music with the some of the industry’s best global production talent. His latest album “theShedding” was released in Spring of 2014.

Rogiérs majored in voice and studied with classical soprano Kathryn Wright and Broadway-theater legend and Tony award nominee, Vivian Reed. He holds a B.A. in Music Business Management from Berklee College of Music, Boston and a M.A. in Global Entertainment & Music Business from Berklee Valencia, Spain. -Fibby Music Group, LLC
