Jasmin Crossfield
About Ms. Jasmine
Jasmin Crossfield was born in London, England, then migrated to Canada and was raised in Toronto, Ontario. She currently resides in Laurel, MD. Her musical journey began by being raised in a musical family and where her passion for music developed.
At the early age of six in Toronto under the teaching and instruction of some of Toronto’s finest teachers: Pearl McDonald, the late Charmaine Marine, and the late Fanny Levitan. Jasmin went on to develop and receive a “musical foundation’ at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto where she earned several honors and awards.
Over the years, Jasmin has found joy in teaching and developing creative ways for children to learn musical concepts and repertoire, as well as, performing to small and large audiences. She passes on her love for music to her students and audiences which feel, learn and experience how music can feed one’s spirit, change one’s mood and heal one’s body from the inside out.
Jasmin also is a registered Physical Therapist, as well as, soprano soloist, vocal coach, and piano/voice teacher. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Bowie State University in Bowie, MD. Jasmin is a staff singer with the Rankin Chapel Choir at Howard University since 2013. She performs for community outreach events, at nursing homes, and church services.
She enjoys utilizing music in combination with healing clinical practices for children and adults with special needs. It is her desire to continue blending music and physical therapy to restore the mind and body.
